The South African Academy of Family Physicians welcomes the opportunity to bid on the opportunity to host the 26th WONCA World Conference in 2027.

The WONCA World Conference last came to the continent of Africa in 2001 and by 2027 it will be a quarter of a century since we hosted such a prestigious and important event.

Bringing this conference to Africa will also have many benefits for the development of family medicine and primary health care.

The theme of the conference will be “the roles of the family doctor in the primary health care team”.
